Install Guardian Lock to choose the YouTube channels your child can watch. Choose the Chrome extension for a compatible computer or the Android beta app for a phone or tablet. An active Guardian Lock product key is required for activation.
Choose your device
Windows 10, Windows 11, and Chromebook: install the Guardian Lock Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store. No separate Windows software download is required.
Android phones and tablets: open the Android beta APK download and setup guide. The beta uses the same active product key as the computer extension, within your subscription’s device allowance. Read the device-locking limitations before giving the device to your child.
Get your product key
If you have already completed checkout, use the product key emailed to the address you used for your subscription. Check your spam or junk folder if the email has not arrived. Keep your key private.
Need a subscription? Review Guardian Lock pricing and the 7-day trial. A payment method is required; after the trial, the subscription renews at $14.99 USD per year plus applicable taxes unless canceled before renewal. Visiting this page does not start a trial.
Set up the Chrome extension
1. Open the Chrome Web Store link above in Google Chrome on your compatible computer.
2. Choose Add to Chrome and confirm the installation.
3. Open Guardian Lock and enter your product key.
4. Add the YouTube channels you approve and create your parent PIN.
5. Lock Guardian Lock, then check what your child can access before handing over the device.
